Along a 192 m long guided path you can penetrate to a depth of -34 m in the interior of the earth. In 1977, archaeological excavations in the cave revealed graves from the early Alemannic and Celtic times.

The first cave plan dates back to 1753 and is the oldest of a cave in the Swabian Jura.
