Reichenau Island

Reichenau (Alemannic: Riichenau) is an inhabited island in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg and the largest island in Lake Constance. Since 2000 it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List together with the Reichenau Monastery.

According to UNESCO, the island is an outstanding testament to the religious and cultural role of a large Benedictine monastery in the Middle Ages.
