Botanical Garden of the University of Ulm

The botanical garden of the University of Ulm was founded in 1981 and, with an area of 28 hectares, is one of the largest university gardens in Germany.

The greenhouse complex is located near the clinic area at Oberen Eselsberg. There the visitor can get to know a variety of tropical useful, medicinal and ornamental plants. On the way to the teacher’s valley, the visitor walks through various themed gardens such as the apothecary’s garden, the tag line garden and the fern valley.

The path leads through shady forests and colorful meadows to the southern part of the garden with a rose garden, cottage garden, biological department, meadow orchard and three-field farm. Around 700 different trees have been planted in the arboretum.
