Monastery Roggenburg
The Roggenburg monastery was founded in 1126 by the Counts of Bibereck as a Premonstratensian monastery. Until secularization, this place was filled with the spiritual life of the Premonstratensians for centuries, who built the baroque complex that still exists today.
In 1982, after 180 years, a new convent settled in the historic monastery complex. Through the pastoral care in the parishes, the educational center for family, environment and culture, the monastery inn and the monastery shop, Roggenburg once again became an important place for the entire region.
